Imagine not being able to conceive the child you’ve always wanted, to try over and over again without success. And then imagine a box you find on the side of the road has a very special little girl, a child who needs you as much as you need her.

We talk about kindness but this young man is doing it. While teenagers sat on the bank laughing at the struggling man in the current trying to make it to a dock, another young man took action. Included below are two dramatic videos, first of the rescue, and then of the meeting of the two men later in the hospital. What no one knew, not even the teens who laughed on the bank as the man fought to survive, was that the drowning man was developmentally disabled.
