Today’s video is truly something special. In it, you’ll see a young man with Down’s Syndrome scoring a touchdown in a high school football game. It’s a dream of boys everywhere and this young man, who attends football practice every single day, does it.
But I think this video is much, much more than that when I consider all that is happening. First, clearly the two coaches got together and made this all possible. That type of coordination isn’t common in the trenches of high school football. And then all the players bought into it, allowing our guy to score the 50-yard TD and making it look real. That’s 21 young men giving this kid his dream.
That friends, is truly a Daily Kindness.

Come on, just a nice thing. My son has Down Syndrome. If he could have run on the field and made a touchdown it would have been great, even if it was a setup. He loves Special Olympics competition, he’s 28. All the platitudes go out the window when he can get a gold medal. He is a great son and does a lot for all of us, friends, family and strangers. Let it rest about the labels. By the way, he does not like it when anyone says he has Down Syndrome. He is happy being a guy without labels.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good. No matter what situation one may be in, God, will always find a way to get you out of it if you call upon him. Remember he is quick to listen to your cries. Use your talents and do not dig them underground because of you condition.
Yours in Christ,
Denford.

In the world we live in it is sometimes difficult to find something to cheer about or even question the hope we all hope. Thanks for the post it shows people still care about others. This made my heart proud it speaks volumes about the school because our kids are a reflection of us, and from what i saw some parents are doing a great job…. God Bless all of you.
